(1) The definition section that you have currently in the abstract, I assume your plan is to move this to an appendix ? Could you please comment ? The order should be re-arranged of the different definitions so that they more directly build on each other. Number 1 charge relies on SPE template for example. (2) Some figures seem png's (for example figure 2), could you include the pdf version of it ? (3) Several of the figures have very large axis titles and labels (example figure 9), could you adjust the font sizes so that they roughly match the font size in the text. (4) Some of the references are incomplete, example [6], [11]] could you adjust them, or add a link Some initial comments on the text line 27 "As of" -> "In" line 28: 78 strings can be misleading. I suggest you state that there are 86 strings out of which there are 8 densely instrumented strings ... line 33: that houses --> that contains (to avoid repetition from line 30) line 70: "technical report" line 137: "previous model" has not been introduced, so I suggest rephrasing it to something similar to "The standard procedure .... used by the IceCube collaboration during ....." section 1.2 - for the discussion of the ice properties please add the following references: https://arxiv.org/abs/1301.5361
